I’m about to start work experience for my automotive trade and I’m super excited. If it wasn’t for Althea Projects I don’t think I’d have ever been able to make my dream a reality. I’m so grateful for your guys help! This is not only helping with my present education but will also affect my future outstandingly. I have already learnt so many new skills and subjects. One more thanks because I feel like it’s needed you guys are amazing.

I was ready to give up my children because it all got too much. Without Wee Care I wouldn’t have my children today or probably a roof over our heads. Thank you for your support and guidance during one of the toughest years of my life!

In August my partner and I became homeless due to our addictions. We left our hometown to get clean and failed again and again. We called Althea Community Hub and spoke to Sarah who told us to come in. From the minute she saw how broken we both were her compassion and empathy came in to play. I felt a sense of calm in my very chaotic world of addiction. We were made to feel comfortable immediately and all the staff were wonderful, with no judgement.

Typically people wouldn’t recognise me and my siblings as foster kids. I was shown just as much love as my carer’s own kids. I want to let every foster child know that you’re not alone, and your carers CARE! I know my siblings and I were a lot to handle but look at us now! For our carers, it ends up not being a job, it’s their lifestyle and we love them for it.
