Our Direction
Althea Projects brings more than 45 years of grass-roots support to families and children in the Townsville Community
Althea Projects is humbled and proud to support individuals, children and young people to reach their full potential through our programs. Our direction will allow us to respond to the needs of Townsville families; partner with a range of government, private and philanthropic investors in a way that builds on our greatest assets – our people.
Althea Projects Foster and Kinship Care Program
Althea Projects Foster and Kinship Program is a foster and kinship care support service which recruits, trains, assesses and supports foster carers in the Townsville, Burdekin, and Charters Towers region. Fostering can be a challenging yet rewarding way to contribute to the community. Our program assists Foster Carers to navigate the challenges and provide the upmost care that the children require. This program is a licensed service funded by the Queensland Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
